Stripped To The Bare Essentials

I've read many books about life in France, written by foreigners. The authors always complain that the simplest things are made complicated, punctuated by an adamant "C'est très compliqué!"

I just came across this handmade sign in the French village of Cucugnan. Turn left to find the windmill, turn right to find the church. It can't get any more simple than this.
